Vilnius Airport

Vilnius Airport (oro uostas in Lithuanian) is Lithuania's largest but still very small, though it is one of the fastest grewing in Europe. The airport is situated in the south part of the city, not very far from the city center by train, bus or taxi. It carries 2-3 million passengers annually. The arrival terminal building was built in the 1950s Soviet in a mix of neo-classical and funkis style, decorated with aviaton workers. In 2007 a new terminal opened with better security and tax free shops, increasing the airport and adjusting it for the Schengen agreement.
