The boulevard around the Old Town
- Jardines del Turia, Arch of Triumph, Plaza Tetuán, Plaza Alfonso El Magnánimo, Jardin de Parterre, Placa de Tetuán, Plaza Temple, Calle Colón, Calle Pinto Lopez, Guillem de Castro, Carrer de Xàtiva, Estació del Norte
One heavily trafficated boulevard goes around the Old Town in a ring. Part of it follows the Turia Gardens, the former river with it's gardens beneath street level. The road changes names several times. It starts to the East of the Northern Station (Estació del Norte) as Calle Colón, goes in a loop around the Old Town and ends to the West of the station with the name Guillem de Castro, then changes name to Carrer de Xàtiva. Along this road you find Torres de Serranos, Torres de Quart, the Arch of Triumph, Plaza del Tetuán, Plaza Alfonso El Magnánimo, Plaza del Temple, Palace of Justice, two branches of El Corte Inglés department stores, museums and several baroque churches. The Arch of Triumph stands at the busy square/traffic circle called Plaça de la Porta de la Mar. Plaza de Alfonso El Magnanimo (Plaça D'Alfons el Magnánimo) is where you find the equestrian statue of King Jaime I. Next to it is a small but beautiful park called Jardin de Parterre. Several bridges, both old and modern ones, passes above Turia Garden to the East and North parts of central Valencia, where you find even more churches, old buildings and museums.
