The Central Railway Station, Trieste Centrale, is quite small and neo-classical (with Roman columns and sculptures inside) and is situated opposite Piazza della Libertà (Liberty Square), a green square, where you find a monument of Elizabetta, Queen Elizabeth of Austria. The Central Bus Station is in another old building next to the railway station. At the Liberty Square you also find the Palazzo Panfilli and the entertainment building Sala Tripcovich. Our hotel was close to Piazza della Libertà, where we arrived late from the railway station.
