Sassnitz City Center
ALTSTADT, BEACHFRONT, SMALL BOAT HARBOUR

Sassnitz has an old town, Altstadt, with resort hotels, beautiful mansions and a nice beach promenad with boats and fish restaurants. This area is very hilly and is situated right next to the sea. Sassnitz has the longest outer mole in Europe. In the town center you can also find some grey buildings from the DDR era, as well as the futuristic suspension bridge from 2007.
