Leuvehaven

HAVENMUSEUM, WALK OF FAME

Leuvehaven is a harbour paralel to the street Schiedamsdijk (the extention of Coolsingel). It is situated between the city center and the riverbank of the river Nieuwe Maas, where the Erasmusbrug begins). Part of the skyline can be seen from here. You can find the Maritime museum and Havenmuseum here.

Havenmuseum

Havenmuseum is a free outdoor museum with a colleciton of special trains, cranes and a lighthouse that makes it feel like a mix between a nice city harbour and an industrial harbour from the period 1850-1970.

Leuvehaven, an inner harbour with some cool machines!

The harbour museum even has its own railway.

Residential buildings and a glass scraper opposite Leuvehaven.

European Walk of fame:

Walk of fame is a part of the pavement at the street Schiedamsdijk next to Leuvehaven, where famous artists and movie stars, both Dutch and international, has made their fingerprints. And some get their own stairs. Just like at the Walk of fame in Hollywood.

The European Walk of fame might not be overexciting, but it was a nice surprise that I never heard of this really hot and sunny day. It was hard to find shade from the sun.

Some Swedish artists as well!

Famous artist made fingerprints in Rotterdam’s own Walk of fame on Schiedamsedijk.

The trams of Rotterdam are very modern. Here towards the harbour, from the city center.
