Riga International Airport
Riga International Airport (RIX) is the largest airport in the Baltic countries. It is situated in the western outskirts of Riga, in the Marupe municipality, and was built in 1973. It has 3 terminals, the newest is from 2006. The older parts were renovated and modernized in 2001. The airport is the main hub for the Latvian airline Air Baltics. I travelled with Norwegian from Copenhagen. Pictures from the flight can be seen here. |
