Faro de Moncloa- Skylines and views, Moncloa
In the West end of Madrid's city center, in the Moncloa-Aravaca district, is the only observation tower in Madrid, Faro de Moncloa. It was closed to public during my visit in 2011, due to safety regulations (because of the fire of the Windsor Tower, that was destroyed in 2005). But in 2023 we entered the observation deck, since it was opened again. From here you can view 360 degrees of Madrid's skyline, including Los Cuatro Torres, Moncloa and Plaza España. The tower is 92m tall and was built in 1992. The architect was Salvador Pérez Arroyo. Close to the tower stands the historic Moncloa Gate and Parque del Oeste. |
