Madrid stopover 2016

I visited Madrid in August 2016, twice, during short stopovers. The flight was between Copenhagen and San José (Costa Rica) to San Salvador, and then back from San Salvador to Copenhagen, both via Madrid. One late evening/night and one night/half day were spent in Madrid. At the first stopover we stayed at a cheap and not very good (old fashioned, worn, super hot with no AC!) hostal called J&C Rooms in the city center, near Puerta del Sol, and on the way back on the 3 star NH Hotel in the suburb of Barajas near the airport with the same name. During these short visits we mainly visited place in the city center that I have already been to in the extensive tour in 2011. But it is always good to get back and get new perspective of one of Europe's greatest cities!
