Hong Kong Island by night - Central, SoHo, Sheung Wan, Wan Chai, Sai Ying PunHong Kong after dark is something really special with all the neon lights, dazzling light displays and ever changing colours of skyscrapers and other structres. Central is where you find most of the illuminated skyscrapers, while Wan Chai and Kowloon have many neon lights on restaurants and stores, written in Chinese or English. Even though Hong Kong is known as a city that never sleep, many of the streets felt empy after 11 o'clock in the night, even in entertainment areas like SoHo. You will finds the most lively areas at Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon side. Kimberley Road has a large share of neon lights, just like many other streets on central Kowloon. SoHo is the neighbourhood on Hong Kong Island where you will find most restaurants in the evening. The majority close down before midnight though. Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun, where our hotel was, is no entertainment districts but has its fare share of restaurants and stores with glowing neon lights.
