West Kowloon - ICC, Union Square, Kowloon StationThe West part of Kowloon was until recently not so well developed, and the was hardly any skyscrapers in Kowloon at all. But since 2010, Interntional Commerce Center (ICC) stands 484m tall as Hong Kong's tallest building. It has 108-118 floors depending on how you count. ICC is part of the huge Union Square project that also includes the Kowloon Station, residential skyscrapers such as complexes Sorrento, Cullinan and The Arch, the luxury Elements Mall and new roads. On the 100th floor of ICC we visited Sky100 on our last day in Hong Kong, the (entrance fee was about 180HK$). ICC was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. There is a Ritz-Carlton hotel on the 102-118th floor, and the shopping mall Elements is situated under the tower. |
