Haizhu district and Pearl River

Haizhou is the district just to the south of central Guangzhou, consisting of an island across the Pearl River. Several bridges connects Haizhu with Yuexiu and Tianhe districts. The district/island is mostly residential and features some skyscrapers and highrises as well as buildings in more traditional Chinese style. The most famous is Canton Tower, that is Guangzhou's tallest structure and one of the world's tallest towers (click here to visit it's own section).
