Hofgarten

- Jägerhof Palace, Goethe Museum, Dreischeibenhaus

Hofgarten is a big beautiful park in the city center with lakes, canals, trees, rare birds and sculptures.Near Hofgarten is the Jägerhof Palace, that houses the Goethe Museum. The baroque palace is not so impressive, it is not so large, and under renovation during our visit. Jägerhof Allee goes throught park towards the palace. "Gröner Jong" is one of Hofgarten's beautiful lake fountains. The War Memorial (Kriegerdenkmal) is a large white marble memorial with a man and a lion. On the South edge of Hofgarten flows the canal Nördliche Düssel in front of Königsallee, Kö-Bogen and Dreischeibenhaus.
