Dubai Marina Dubai Marina is a brand new neighbourhood in the South part of Dubai, parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road. It was just a desert some years ago, but now there are 3 lakes, some of Dubai's tallest and most outstanding skyscrapers -home to the 4 tallest residential buildings in the world, old tour boats and modern private yachts, de luxe hotels, tall luxorious residences, fancy restaurants, beach promenades, shopping malls and a part of the southernmost part of Jumeirah Beach is parallel to Dubai Marina. Here you can take a boat on the lake or walk on the pedestrian friendly Marian Promenade. It is home to one of the largest concentration of rich westerners in Dubai, most skyscrapers are hotels and residential buildings, and designed in a postmodern or futuristic style. You can find the supertall Princess Tower with its circular crown as well as the twisted and new Cayan Tower here. Many of the are about as tall, or taller then Empire State Building but it won't make that impact since they are situated very close to each other! It is also impressive to know that most of these building were built between 2012 and 2013, 10 years ago it was only desert! In Marriott Harbour Hotel and Grosvenor House you can find rooftop restaurants and bars. Marina Beach, the southernmost part of Jumeirah Beach is situated right next to the Dubai Marina, and there are two fancy walks with de luxe stores; The Walk and The Beachwalk. There is also a large mall, Marina Mall. |
