National Museum of Denmark
NATIONALMUSÉET

The Danish National Museum is Denmark's largest museum of cultural history. It is situated in central Copenhagen (close to Stroget and Christiansborg Castle) and is very large. It is located in a historic building called the Prince's Mansion from 1744, built in Rococo style. Today it features a large modern atrium and an outdoor courtyard where an indoor glass walkway connects the two sides of the building. The museum covers 14 000 years of Danish history; archaeology, ethnology, conservation, communication,numismatics, ethnography, natural science, building antiquarian activities in connection with the churches of Denmark and the Natinonal Treasures (Danefæ). The museum consist of small museums in a museum, each with its own history, for example the Oldnordisk museum, the Prince's palace and the Coin museum. The entrance is free!

 
National Museum's main building have served as home to many princes, it is called the Prince's Mansion.

The large doll houses are very charming. If you look on the backside you can actually see the interiors of the buildings with many details!
