Floreasca

In the outskirts of Bucharest there are very modern buildings in glass and steel; In the North you find the very modern Floreasca district, with the Floreasca City Center, that features the modern Promenada Mall from 2013, with 120 stores on 3 floors, it also features a roof garden and a food court, and the 37-storey circular Sky Tower, that is Romania's tallest building (137m), built in 2012. There is a skybar on top that we visited, but the views were bad due to a heavy thunderstorm that just occured, the government even sent warnings to go outside! To get up you have to sign in at the reception.The 2nd tallest building of Romania, Globalworth Tower (118m, built 2016) stands next to it. In Floreasca you also find other skyscrapers and modern residential highrises under construction. There is a nice view of the Floreasca skyline from the Herastrau Park.
