MOOF - Museum of Original Figurines
COMICS MUSEUM, GRASMARKT

Belgium is famous for its comics characters and comics books. The most famous ones are Tintin, the Smurfs and Lucky Luke. MOOF Museum (Museum of Original Figurines) is a comics museum situated in the basement of the Galerie Horta, an empty shopping galleria at Grasmarkt, in the same building as the central station. It is pretty hard to find actually. MOOF has a collection of more then 1200 figures and objects on display (totally 3500) on 1 200 m2, most of them are miniatures. The museum is pretty new, it was inaugurated in 2011. Unfortunately much of the information is not available in English. There is also another comics museum in Brussels that we didn't visit, but MOOF is said to be the best.
