Trolleholm and Trollenäs

Just some km west of Eslöv, close to Svalöv, in Scania’s inland, 2 castles/villages are situated: Trolleholm and Trollenäs. Unfortunately none of these castles are open to public, since they are used as private residences.

TROLLEHOLM:

Trolleholm, the more famous of the 2 castles.

The current castle was built in the 1760s after drawings by Carl Hårleman.

It is owned since the 1700s by the Trolle-Bonde family.

Some rooms are rent by companies that own parts of Trolleholm.

Trolleholm became known for the TV show “Stjärnorna på slottet” (The stars at the castle) in 2007.

TROLLENÄS

Trollenäs Slott is owned by the Trolle family. 1559 the current castle begun construction. It was reconstructed as a French renaissance castle in the 1800s.

This castle is just some km away from Trolleholm.
