Shenzhen by night
- Luohu District, Futian District, Windows of the World
Shenzhen is a very cool city at night, a city that never sleeps. At least not in the Luohu where our hotel, the 5-star Panglin, was. In Luohu there are many neon lights, illuminated fountains and skyscrapers, night clubs, shopping malls that close late and vibrant traffic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Even around midnight the metro trains are crowded with people, in the middle of the week! Mostly Asian tourists, business men and other visitors and 14 million inhabitants share the streets of Shenzhen. Many skyscrapers on Shenzhen's skyline are beautifully illuminated at night. Futian district, and most neighbourhoods around Shennan Boulevard have illuminated skyscrapers and other buildings with spectacular light shows. The theme park Windows of the World in Nanshan district looks really nice after dark, with Vegas looking neon lights; the Eiffel Tower, Arch of Triumph, the glass pyramid and other landmarks have impressive light shows, and the fountain at the entrance is really amazing.
