Lund's historical city center
There are many historic buildings in Lund's city center, of which the over 1000 year old cathedral is the most famous.
The center consists mainly of pedestrian streets and nice shops, since the government wants to keep cars away.

The dom (Domkyrkan). One of Europe´s most famous romanesque stone cathedrals is more
than 900 years old. The legend says it was built by the
giant Finn. The towers
are 55m tall each. Domkyrkan is situated at Lundagård, a park in the city center that often is filled with students.

Lundagård is the name of the park that surrounds the cathedral. Many students hang out there.
Domkyrkoforum is a brand new building (2012) opposite Domkyrkan. The purpose of the building is to be a meeting place, conference center and information center
about the cathedral. Domkyrkoforum is here seen from Domkyrkoplatsen, with a new sculpture.

Domkyrkoplatsen is a new place that connects Domkyrkan and Domkyrkoforum.
Domkyrkoforum is really a contrast to Domkyrkan itself, here seen from Kyrkogatan. It was drawn by the architect Carmen Izquierdo.
